Keep your WhatsApp bill low
Practical ways to send fewer billable messages without answering customers any less.

- Answer in one message, not three. After the free 1,000, every reply is billed on its own, so one complete answer costs a third of three short ones.
- Send a photo with its caption instead of a photo and then a text. The caption travels with the photo as one message.
- Use buttons and lists in your flows, so customers tap an answer instead of typing back and forth. Fewer exchanges mean fewer billable replies.
- Reply to ad leads within 24 hours. That opens the free window of up to 7 days, and every message in it is free, templates and broadcasts included.
- Send broadcasts to a tag, not to everyone. Marketing is the most expensive category for Pakistani numbers, and a broadcast is charged for every customer it reaches.
- Use a Utility template for order and delivery updates. It costs about a third of a Marketing one in Pakistan, as long as the wording is a real update and not an offer.
- Check what Meta charged in Billing Hub. The "Messages" count in Settings › "Plan & Billing" is every message your workspace sent, which is not the same as what Meta bills.
